10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 1
Drive to Charles De Gaulle Airport
Our drive to Airport is usually 1.5 Hours depending on the traffic. And we are used to driving at least 1-2 hours out of our small town.
Eat: French Breakfast
With our friends coming to France, of course we must get them to eat the local french breakfast. While on the way for the girls shopping trip, we stopped by a French Cafe to have breakfast.
Breakfast looks normal, but it is not cheap. For 4 person, the bill amounts to €45.
Voila! Our Christmas Eve Dinner!
Shop: Chanel Flagship Store
Our friend is very focused. She knows what she wants and Chanel is what she wants to shop. So, we brought her to Paris, Chanel Flagship store. It is also our first time there as well. It feels like we are in Takashimaya, with all the Chinese Tourist.
The store staff speaks Mandarin too! Some are even served orange juice. Maybe we did clock a certain spending amount to be entitled an Orange Juice. Oh well..
Eat: Pierre Herme Macarons & Chocolats
From the Chanel Store to the Lourve, we passed by Pierre Herme store. Pierre Herme Macarons is one of the best macaron you can find in Paris. It has many flavours and of course they are not cheap either.
See: Jardin des Tuileries
The Tuileries Garden (French: Jardin des Tuileries, is a public garden located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.
Created by Catherine de Medici as the garden of the Tuileries Palace in 1564, it was eventually opened to the public in 1667, and became a public park after the French Revolution. In the 19th and 20th century, it was the place where Parisians celebrated, met, promenaded, and relaxed. Wiki
While on the way to the Lourve, we passed by Jardin des Tuileries. On a winter day, it is cold here, but the view overseeing Eiffel Tower and the Ferris Wheel is magnificent.
See: The Lourve
The Louvre or the Louvre Museum (French: Musée du Louvre, is the world's second largest museum and a historic monument in Paris, France.
A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement (district or ward). Wiki
And here we reach The Lourve. Security is at its best because of an incident that happen in The Lourve the day before.
We still see as many tourist as a normal day would.
Shop: Galeries Lafayette Haussmann
Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, is like Takashimaya Departmental Store in Singapore. With all the branded stuffs here. And of course, there is always a queue at Louis Vuitton.
We just glanced at the store for awhile and use their "free" toilet before heading for La Vallee Village which is near disneyland, 40mins drive away from Paris Centre.
Shop: La Vallée Village
La Vallée Village is the most successful outlet shopping destination in France, and is located within Disneyland® Paris (Europe’s most visited tourist attraction). With its pedestrianised street and intimately scaled buildings,
Opens daily from 10am to 7pm. This unique village in France groups over a hundred prestigious fashion luxury brands. Find their previous collections at reduced prices with a at least 33% reduction and often more, 7 days a week.

We have not been to La Vallee Village before but it's is always good to explore places we have not been before. This is a very big shopping village for girls, but unfortunately, they only have 2 hours to shop.

10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 2 - Day 5
Drive to Munich, Germany
The drive is 8 hours without any rest stop, but we have cater for at least 4-5 rest stops, and 1 lunch. Usually for drive trips, we will just settle for fast food. And we are there to try out their KFC too! And we also brought along our favorite Chilli Sauce.
Driving in France is boring, 130km/h and for the stretch of 300km, plus a rainy weather. It is so tiring.
And in Germany, you must also try out their Autobahn! The highway with no speed limit at certain sections. You will realise that even cruising at 160km/h there are still cars (especially BMW) poking your arse off! And even when you floor the accelerator, you may not be able to catch up with the cars in front too.

10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 5
Drive to Feldberg, Germany
The drive to Feldberg takes nearly 4 hours. At certain parts of the road, speed was as low as 60-70km on a 110km/h road. Certainly feel sleepy, and we were rushing to check in our Airbnb stay by 1900hrs.
Stay: Airbnb, Feldberg
Luckily, we are able to make in time to check in at 1900hrs. The stay looks newly renovated, just that it is abit cold during the night. The distance to our snowboard area is only 15mins away.
It is a comfortable stay and the hall was big enough. There is also a dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen.
We had like chicken soup, American breakfast, Pizza throughout our 4 Nights stay here.
10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 6-8 (Snowboarding!)
The next 3 days we will be snowboarding in Feldberg. We chose Feldberg to snowboard is because the location is halfway back to Sens.
Instead of travelling 8-9hours back, we now only travel 4-5 Hours back. So the journey back will not be so tiring. And Feldberg Ski Area is the highest point, overseeing the Blackforest. So we should be able to see some snow.
At the same time, most instructors in Germany speak English too. We have signed up for 2 days of snowboard lessons out of the 3 days.
10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 9
Today, we will be checking out of Feldberg Stay, and heading back to Sens. We initially plan for a shopping trip in Troyes. But, it is closed on a Sunday, so while on the way back to France, we made a detour to Colmar, France and visited Dijon since is it on the way back instead.
See: Petite Venice, Colmar
The « little Venice » is the name given to the course of the Lauch in Colmar. This name probably came from the original line of the houses on both sides of the river, which serves the southeast of the city.
This district starts behind the Koïfhus, goes through the fishmonger's district and to the bridges Turenne and Saint-Pierre.
See: Dijon, France
It took us like another 2 hours drive to get from Colmar to Dijon. Dijon is said to be the capital of Burgundy, so we definitely have to drive to the city centre to take a look.
Dijon is the capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-producing areas. It’s known for its vineyard tours, autumn gastronomic fair and building styles ranging from Gothic to art deco. The distinguished 1787 Musée des Beaux-Arts, housed in the vast Palace of the Dukes, holds a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, crafts and antiquities.
Home Sweet Home
After 1945km of driving, we are finally home. It has been a fun trip to Munich, and snowboarding is fun too!
Total Distance covered was 1945 km excluding the last day and the first day to Paris which is around 500km. So we can say a total mileage of 2500km. With diesel at €1.20 / Litre and our €0.06 / km. Our fuel cost adds up to be around €150.
10 Days Road Trip - Paris, Munich, Feldberg: Day 10
Eat: 松记 Chicken Rice
After more than a week of eating fast food and Pork Knuckles, our guests are craving for some home cooked food. Of course, we must whip up some delicious foodies for them.
The demand for Chicken Rice is there, so here we have chicken rice for our guest! A total for 1.5kg of Chicken Thighs as well as some other dishes to start the day!
Shop: Primark
Oh yes, if you are visiting Europe, been sure to visit their Primark outlets. Definitely you have something to buy! As the saying goes, a Primark Shopper is a Happy Shopper.
